| Name: | Zuko |

![]() Age: 17 Birthdate: The day after the Summer Solstice in his world. (June 22nd?) Status: Single, not looking. Current Residence in Pulled From: Day of Black Sun Pt.2(I think?) or directly after he confronted his father and en route to freeing his Uncle. Deaths: None. Chip Removed: Once. Lets hope it stays that way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Physical Description: Eyes: Gold Hair: Dark Brown Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Other Distinguishable Traits: Massive burn scar on the left side of his face covering the eye, over his ear and disappearing into the hairline. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Personality (Stuff in quotes taken from the Wikipedia Article listed at the bottom) "While initially the series primary antagonist, over time Zuko is shown to be more of a bitter and complex young man than a truly evil character; he eventually forsakes his past goals and becomes a hero. Zuko's good heart was, for most of the series, over-ruled by his desire to be allowed to return home; Zuko wanted more than anything to have his place as heir to the Fire Nation throne and his father's love. Zuko believed (or forced himself to believe) that capturing the Avatar would make these wishes come true, which made him Aang's most determined enemy. Zuko believes that a person becomes strong by having to struggle and fight for what they want. He has said that he does not want to have good luck, because he feels he can control his own fate. Yet all the misfortune in his life has lead him to believe the world is set against him. This manifests as inflexible determination and an iron-will that even his foes acknowledge. Zuko has numerous contradictory traits, beliefs, and behaviors. As a result of being raised as Fire Nation royalty, he is domineering and not afraid to assert authority, and disdains working with people he believes are inferior to himself, yet he adamantly refuses to view people as expendable; it was Zuko's belief that it is wrong to sacrifice young troops as a diversionary war tactic that led to his exile when he voiced his opinion and angered his father, Ozai. During his banishment, Zuko displayed a near total obsession with pursuing and capturing the Avatar, using whatever means he thought necessary to gain the upper hand. Although he has said that the capture of the Avatar is a greater concern to him than the safety of his crew or even himself, he retains some compassion, choosing to rescue Iroh when he was captured, rather than pursue Aang, and also risked his own life to save a member of his crew during a fierce storm. Towards the end of the storm, the crew spots Aang, but rather than chase the Avatar, Zuko orders the ship and crew to safety." Over the hardships and struggles throughout the series Zuko has gone through many changes. Though he is still a brash, head-strong and violent individual at times, he's learning, albeit slowly, to control his anger. With the help of his Uncle's advice Zuko managed to go out of his way to help those that he would normally consider enemies. Even in Discedo he is constantly striving to prove himself worthy to those around him and doing what he can to make more allies than enemies of those stuck there, though it hasn't been easy. Still, his view on the worth of a human life far exceeds some of his own selfish behavior. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Abilities (Again, things in quotes taken from Wikipedia article at the bottom) Being born the Prince of the Fire Nation not only did he receive one of the highest forms of Education available in his world, but he is a natural firebender. Though he isn't near being a master, "Zuko has shown himself to be a highly skilled Firebender, brimming with a potential which befits his lineage as carrying both the bloodlines of Fire Lord Sozin and Avatar Roku." He has shown his skill in controlling his element by forming not only a pair of daggers out of flames, but a whip as well. He can channel the fire through his being, and even his swords, via Chi and Heat as well as their natural connection to the sun. Through his Uncle's teaching he has also learned how to redirect lightning, which came in handy when pitted against his own father's strength. "Zuko has also shown to be highly skilled in the use of the dual Dao swords, a talent he refined during his time at sea. Zuko's final ability is stealth. His ability to infiltrate a guarded fortress was amply demonstrated in the episodes "The Blue Spirit," "The Siege of the North," and "Lake Laogai." In each case, Zuko entered hostile territory and managed to reach his objective without being caught, although the circumstances of each separate at this point. Also, the different natures of those fortresses show that he is adaptable to circumstances as well. He is also skilled at the art of the ambush, laying cunning traps for his victims, both demonstrated when he briefly turned bandit and when he later set a trap for an agent of the Dai Li in order to obtain information on Appa's location. Zuko has grown up in the shadow of his Firebending-prodigy sister Azula and many, even Zuko himself, view him as struggling. However, this is so because Zuko has been compared to the most powerful Firebenders alive, such as his sister, father and uncle. In truth, Zuko is arguably one of the most skilled Firebenders in his own right, able to beat Firebending Masters such as Zhao in Agni Kai and in normal combat. There has been considerable suggestion in the show that Zuko's potential capabilities were being held back by various mental obstacles, such as his single-minded drive to capture the Avatar contrasting with his established relaxed and gentle nature before it was literally burned out of him by Fire Lord Ozai. As these conflicts have continued to be resolved in his mind, Zuko's abilities have increased in accordance. Like most other Firebenders, Zuko is generally agile, as can be seen in many of his battles with Aang. He is also very strong physically. In The Beach he was able to send Ruon Jian back several meters with a slight push of his palm. A more recent example of this is in the episode "The Western Air Temple", where Zuko descends a sheer cliff via a rope to get to the floor of the temple. He ends up having to swing in under the ceiling and down onto the floor, dropping a significant height, and landing gracefully with little effort. In "The Firebending Masters", he was easily able to bypass a large spike pit by running along the wall." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ History and when he was pulled into Discedo When he was 13 the young Prince was exiled from his kingdom and for 3 years he searched for the one known as the Avatar. Accompanied by his Uncle through most of his journey, the boy endlessly pursued Aang and his friends causing much trouble for the steadily growing group. In the end Zuko was able to return home, but at the cost of betraying the one man that had stuck through the hardship with him, and who had been more of a father to him than Ozai. He was accepted by his father and welcomed home with open arms, but it ended up being far less than what he'd hoped for. Zuko eventually made a vow to himself and gave up his throne once more in favor of helping the Avatar defeat his father to end the 100 year war. It was shortly after confronting his father about his choice and mid rescue of his Uncle Iroh that Zuko was unceremoniously dropped into Discedo. Thus, finding himself, unable to complete what he'd originally risked everything he set out to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Overall changes seen in Zuko thus far Zuko has seen a birthday come and go while spending his time in Discedo. Many people have at least spoken to him, while others he's helped or have helped him along the way. When he first arrived in Discedo he was angry, confused, and just simply wanted nothing to do with the place. But being the smart kid that he is he stuck through and eventually met up with his Uncle. Since then he's been training with the old general and a handful of those who live in the run down city. Eventually, as truths were revealed, he came to realize that fighting against his fate was futile and that the people need his help here. So he took to simply living and surviving along with the others in hopes the scientists might see his good deeds and send him back. Slowly over time he's come to see almost everyone trapped in the post-apocalyptic town as his allies and strives to do what he can to help or protect their civilization. As far as he knows, this is now his home. Part of him still believes he can go home but it's consumed by the fact that there has been no evidence of anyone actually making it back. People have disappeared while new ones were dropped in their place. But no one actually knows what has happened to those they've lost. He's uncertain that he'll ever make it home, so part of him wishes that he'll never see Aang in Discedo. Originally he hated the Scientists for bringing him here. He believed them to have doomed his world by pulling not only himself, but Katara and Sokka as well. Aang is strong and clever but he is much stronger with his friends by his side. Though, as time goes on his anger has calmed towards the scientists, due to their generous gifts, but he still holds a great deal of distrust of them. Most of this stems from the fact that they dropped Azula into the world to give him hell. All in all, he's learning and changing a lot. He may not always show his concern for his friends or allies, but it's there. He takes a small bit of responsibility for the wreckage, and the people living in it, that he calls home. His anger still bubbles under the surface and occasionally comes out in a brash, headstrong fit of defiance but he's shown much more control than before. This comes from his months of training with his uncle while here in Discedo. He owes the old man that much at least for all the trouble he's caused in the past. In truth, his stay in the world has been nothing but a grand learning experience. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Relationships Family ~Uncle Iroh ( ~Fire Lord Ozai: Father, only by blood. ~Princess Azula( ~Lady Ursa: Mother, Assumed to be Dead but later found to have been Exiled and possibly still alive. ~Nani( ~Lilo( Friends and Allies ~Mai( ~Aang( ~Katara( ~Sokka( ~Yorda ( ~Mona Lisa( ~Umi Ryuuzaki( ~Kadaj( ~Haseo( ~Killer( ~Prydain( ~Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca( ~Suigintou( ~Nill~( Enemies ~Lord Ozai ~Princess Azula( ~Larxene( ~Toph: He will approach Toph, with caution should she arrive in Discedo, because he believes she may still view him as an enemy.
